About Us

Really I guess it’s more of an “about me” page?

Some of my balisongs

Anyways I’m an old duffer that’s been a fan of balisongs ever since I first saw the movie Big Trouble in Little China. In that iconic movie directed by John Carpenter there is a kidnap scene in near the beginning of the film.

The scene set inside the airport features a street tough named “needles”. Needles is a Lords of Death Gang member.

Needles is played by none other than Jeff Imada a balisong legend. Needles pulls a balisong on Kurt Russells character Jack Burton during the kidnapping scene.

When I got a little older I came across the higher end market and with it the balisong flipping scene that was flourishing, driven mostly by youtube tutorials.

From the first moment I saw the flash and flourish of Jeffs Balisong I was hooked on Balisong or Butterfly Knives.

I’d spend most of my youth skateboarding and begging my grandfather to bring me to flea markets so he could hunt for old chains and crowbars while I scoured the vendors for pakistani made brass balisongs.

I started focusing on learning how to flip balisongs, learning how to make balisongs, learning how to make balisong sheaths and trying to keep up with the rapid pace of the community.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve not been as involved as I used to be but I still love the cutlery and balisong community.
